Awhile back I saw a thread with people who had problems with their VZ-58/858s have the problems been resolved, or are they still persistant? Is there a newly manufactured batch of VZs without the problems?

As usual thanks guys!

Mine's fixed....but I had to do an overhaul of the internal parts. I'm still happy though. That thing is very accurate for what it is.

My 1st vz58 would stove pipe almost every rnd with ANY brand of ammo

sent it back to marstar they could not fix it so they sent me another one

no problems since

problem...

My 858 started out fine... absolutely love it.

HOWEVER, it's non-functional right now. I had it out the other day, and up around 300-400 rounds through it total, the trigger suddenly isn't releasing anything... normally when you pull the trigger, it releases the striker, with that satisfying 'click' (or 'boom' if there was a round in it :) )...now, instead of a well-defined break, you get a sort of grinding feeling, and it feels like the striker isn't moving forward. Also can't tear it down to see what the problem is (I suspect because the striker is still to the rear?)

any suggestions? Help!

EDITED TO ADD: 999 fixed it - thanks! was a trigger/disconnector problem. Seems to function fine now, but need to get it out to the range to be sure...

i have an 858, perfect. my buddy bought a 858 and has some minor issues, the front sight has to be shfted all the way right to hit paper. the mag well is very tight, almost Dlask tight :) .

My vz 858 sear is not catching the striker all the time. I order a new parts kit and hopfully that will solve it. I dont want to return it since i spent alot of time mounting a scope mount on it. So hopfully the part swap will solve the problem.

Try pushing the trigger forward......
Mine broke on me the first time I let someone else fire it. Turns out the trigger return spring was done and it wasn't strong enough to overcome the disconnect after firing. Pushing forward allowed the sear to engage again.
