Looking at the available AR stock adapters for the Vz 58. I've read with the straight version, It can sometimes be difficult to use the iron sights. I have a relatively low profile red dot currently, A Bushnell TRS 25 on the low CSA mount over the dust cover. Because my mount is quick release I still want to be able to use the irons. So I am assuming I'd want to look for an adapter with the downward angle? Any pros or cons of each?

Also, Does anyone know if the SA VZ-58 AR M4 Buffer Tube Stock Adapter the Zahal carries is the straight or sloped version? By the photo they have it looks the be slightly angled.

Angled buffer tube works great with the factory irons. With the CSA QD low mount attached the cheek weld is more of a chin weld but IMHO it's fine for a micro red dot.

The sloped won't reduce muzzle jump like the straight will... You will have to prioritize with sight system you will be using the most. But like Cory said, a chin weld isn't so bad if it's red dot...

In my experience it is physically impossible to see the irons with a straight adapter. And IMHO i think iron sights should always be usable. So i went with the standard angle adapter. I have a similar optic set up, and the cheek weld isnt bad with a T1 style red dot without a riser. I had to use a .75 Magpul riser for an Acog height optic though.

So i suggest go with angled, but get a stock that where you can adjust the cheek weld height. The FAB defence one would be Ideal since it is fast to adjust.
But im too poor for that so i got a magpul moe with a riser. Not the fastest to change to irons but still do-able.
