So I sent an email to NEA the other day after I had a thought. What if you could treat a non restricted cz\vz barrel with the same ARC+ treatment they use on their AR 15 rifles. As its a surface treatment and not a coating, there would be no need for machining. Just send in a stripped receiver ( and bolt?) for treatment. They responded saying they are too busy with other projects right now but it's something they may look at in the future. Which is not a no. So the question is would anyone want it an how much would you pay? Any takers?

I thought this was just an external treatment. What I'm talking about is an alternative to chrome lining.

I had my 858 nitro carburized a couple of years ago. It's like the whole gun has the rust resistance of chrome, both inside and out. I don't really see a point of a nitron finish if it doesn't include the bore and internals. I had a couple of muzzle devices treated too. I've never cleaned them after shooting corrosive and they don't rust.

What did it cost ?

It was about $200 for the refinish and tabbing of the bolt. It was done by Rauch Tactical. I'm not sure if they're still around, but the finish is awesome.
