So I was at the range today and my vz 58 jammed on me. I cleared the problem and reinserted the magazine only to have another jam.

A piece of my bolt has broken off and my rifle has been rendered useless. Now its time to try and get ahold of north sylva and see about warranty....

I'll post pictures when the rifle is apart.

send your gun to movie armament in toronto they take care of vz warranty they are fast and good.you need a smaller piston because of to much gas pushing back had mine fixed there no problem now

Exactly same thing happened to me a week ago. Talked to North Sylva and they suggested over gassed rifle. I put through this rifle over 1200 rounds with 0 problems so I think it is bolt craftsmanship problem - metal fatigue and wrong hardness. I sent my rifle for warranty repair.

I sent my rifle on Thursday w Priority mail next day. Today they have sent me confirmation e-mail but no time frame estimate. I hope for no more than 2-3 weeks but who knows.... I just ordered a surplus bolt from dlask. I think surplus are built better and properly heat treated.

Gain, what year did you buy your CSA? and could you possible tell us the serial number range it is in?

The reason I ask is I want to purchase a CSA but am continually scared off by these threads.
