Newbie to the red rifle scene... And new to corrosive ammo

Question about the latest batch of vZ 58 ( chrome lined barrels ) that dealers have been posting lately.

If it had the chrome lined barrel do you still have to clean the rifle everytime after firing corrosive ammo in it?

What are the benefits of the chrome lined barrel in the VZ 58??

The chromeline barrel will:

1) last longer

2) resist corrosion

3) be easier to clean

The down side is a very slightly loss of accuracy.

Cleaning is still critical for the gas system however, cleaning a gas system on a Vz 58 is a piece of cake.

so what would be the correct way to clean a chrome lined barreled vz 58?

I bought a ton of non-corrosive norinco ammo from Canada Ammo and never looked back. Worth every penny, so much more convenient to shoot. It's really quite clean firing stuff too. I don't even remember how many rounds of it I put through my sks and it's barely dirty. Honestly it's not even that much more expensive, especially if you get a sale.

I have seen what happens to a neglected rifle that fired a crate of corrosive and then sat for an entire year without cleaning. Pretty nasty. Recoverable, but not nice.

Clean your firearm every time you shoot it, its fast and easy and then you know that it will not have corrosion, plus will be ready for the next time you want to shoot.
