VZ 58 Corwin Arms Dust Cover scope mounts....

I had one, Reflex and red dots work best. Having to remove the hex screws every time are a pain.

It did hold zero for me so it works for sure.

You need to do some fitting.

Quality is very good, springs are good.

I still prefer the CSA side mount because I can swap back and forth from irons quickly.

Thanks mate, have the side mount too. Should probably look at those options first I suppose. And if memory serves, the product does not come with springs...

I bought one too from corwin. Good service for sure. My bolt carrier was out of spec so when I installed the dust cover and springs, the bolt would move freely and had about 2mm of play so it would rattle around. Corwin helped me until we solved the problem and found my bolt was out of spec, turns out a rubber shim was needed and voila works awesome!

I run one with an Aimpoint, I prefer this mount to the side mount, or the handguard mount. Bought one with the springs and it is great, I had to do a little fitting, but it works great now.

I have yet to mount a rail on my VZ because i can't decide if I would put one on the handguard or the dust cover.

I've read the pros on the dust cover option is to maintain the ability to co-witness. Some of the VZs with this option and the scope seem like the optic can be really close to your face.

As I'm aware there are no co-witnessing options for a more forward mounted optic (ie. either scout mount or handguard).

For now I will just use the irons until I am more certain how I would mount an optic.
