Hey guys, Per the title - I have a older vz.58 folder however the wire type stock has significant movement in it now once extended, any cheap/quick solutions know for this??
What Saltednutz said. You could also shove shims in their but it will never be permanent. Felt pads will work will you have to clean it then you need to replace em probably. In the end, Im sure buying a new one is cheaper if your cant or dont want to weld it.
I suggest you buy a NOS one on Ebay or at a sponsor and sell the crappy one for parts on the EE. Don't think you'll be happy with a jimmied one that will most likely not fix the issue. I hated my folder, looks cool but the ergonomics suck. Can't beat a nice wood stock for a proper cheekweld and better comfort.
How about: drill and tap the back of the folding stock where it contacts the receiver when in the open position. Make the screw flush fit, and then back it out just slightly, which will take up that extra space that is causing movement.
