a new to me, and like new vz 58... after getting home i noticed the front trigger guard rivet was loose and upon inspection discovered i could easily pull it out. the shaft of the rivet is not flared out at all. the hole seems to be a blind hole, so i cannot back the rivet to spread it out and keep it in place. any ideas?

Maybe if you used a new screw, you might be able to drive it into the hole?

That type of screw (rivet) is known as a "Round Head U-Drive Screw" and is similar to this:

I was going to tap the shaft of my rivet with a centre punch to create more interference but it fell out and is long gone. I'm going to have to put a new one in.
