Hey, I recently bought a VZ-58 in 7.62x39, and I took it out the other day and I shot about 30-50 rounds through it and about 5-10 of the shells got cought in the action, and with the second shot, I could not move the bolt at all, I removed the magazine and I already knew the round had been shot out so I kept it down range and had to remove the dust cover area guts and had to work the bolt for around 5 minutes to loosen it, and I finally got it out, it is the non-chrome lined barrel and I was using surplus Polish mesko and also Surplus russian, if anyone can help me out with this that would be great!

It is brand new with a 18" barrel

Is it a CSA? CSA has had some issues in the past, a little lottery if you were going to get a good one. For the most part, I believe they've been all fixed now.

Only problem I ever had with my FSN, was when I was shooting really filthy corrosive ammo and if wouldn't chamber another round due to the caked on black sh!t or jam up like yours...

Took it home, cleaned it, lubed properly and it's been 100% ever since. Some people buy a new rifle or pistol and take it right to the range without cleaning and lubing them, I've found bone dry and gummed up firearms when I've initially disassembled new guns. I wouldn't say you have a problem until you inspect it further.

This thread should be in the Red Rifle forum and you'd get the VZ58 experts giving you the info you need.

Assuming you cleaned it before you shot it and you're having a failure to feed properly, jamming is caused by mags, the ammo or insufficient gas. Your's sounds like the mag lips need a wee tweak. Open 'em a tiny bit with long, fine, needle nosed pliers.
