VZ 58 magnetic scope mount??

Cant possibly begin to believe how it could hold zero over time. let alone magnetize your whole receiver, en curing all the disadvantages that would bring.

What would magnetizing the receiver do from several little magnets???

I have this mount, I spoke to the owner on several occasions and he assured me 100% it will hold zero, I haven't tested it out yet, lol

I knew you were up on this, Bflies. I'd be extremely interested in your opinion. Maybe you could do a comparison between this and the mag wedge mount, if that is still in the works.

Im sure the Neodymium magnets would cause some magnetizing,,, for one magnetized parts would start to collect any metal shavings..

No I doubt that. If it did I'm sure ram line would be out of business. Not to mention they are small magnets meant to only hold the mount onto the top of the dustcover

RSK, I will test it out for sure but the best mount period for the vz is Corwin-arms dust cover mount. I had ejection problems with the magwedge one. With thay said here's hoping the gen II magwedge rail has all the kinks worked out

I saw that magnetic mount in US, it will not work. Even with super mini red dot it did not look optimistic

I bought 2 of these directly from Ramlite in Arizona. Magnets are strong and it does seem to hold zero quite well with a mini red dot sight.

Regular optics need a better quality cover as in the picture below.

This has a Railed Receiver Cover made by Antonin Zendl in the Czech Republic and it is military grade in every respect. Total cost including shipping, import duty etc. was about CAD $450...
Removal is a quick as the original and it retains zero perfectly. This is a view from the other side showing the QR latch mechanism.

Folding stock is also imported from the Czech Republic.
