VZ-58 Optic

I looked at the sticky with relation to the optics but couldn't find what I was really looking for.

I want to put on a more acog style optic. That is something with cross-hairs but not killing it with magnification, so maybe around 4.5x or so.

If anyone has any suggestions let me know, I don't mind putting on a deflector but it would preferably be a short optic not requiring one.

For the time being I have a Banner mounted on my 556 sporter and amazingly enough it has not been dinged to hell by ejected brass.As far as I can tell the brass is ejecting directly to the right and the scope doesn't show any sign of contact(couple wraps of tape round the scope for safety). Local shop keep kinda laughed at my set up a bit and suggested a different optic but for now it's working for me so it's gonna stay for a bit.
 
Yep a short compact scope is what you would be looking for. Like a Hi-Lux or something to that nature. Although I would go with the side rail if I had the new 858's as opposed to the rear cover mount. Easier to remove to clean the rifle and/or to shot irons.
 
I'd be taking an AR style stock with length and a cheek-rest adjustment.

Then add in an optics cover.

Then add in a Vortex Viper PST 1-4.

I was considering the vortex figured I would use a bit more money and it looks great.

Is it just me or is it getting hard to find these parts for the vz-58 for mounting and other accessories? I have been looking around and retailers seem to have a few things but there are lots of out of stock and they seem to be spread across retailers?
