Why isn't there a VZ-58 pistol?

I guess I'm all alone in my fantasy gun land....

Because "pistol" is an American thing: they cannot have short-barreled rifles. WE CAN! However, pistol or short barrel rifle is going to be restricted anyway, while pistol in US is technically non-restricted in Canadian sense.

Thus, just buy a new super-short barrel and get yourself a new gun (gunsmithing may apply).

Didn't they have a shipment of steel mags in production? I thought that came out in the thread where I was asking about polymer mags...you were in that thread as well IIRC.
