Hi,

any one purchased Receiver Side Rail sold by Czechpoint-USA?

I looked at their website and they do not mention any bracket, so it seems that they install rail directly on to receiver?

Also, any drill, tap gurus? I need to drill and tap metric 5mm hole. Do I need to drill 4mm. or 3mm. pilot hole?

Tapping the receiver walls of the VZ58 isn't all that great an option, the thickness is literally 1/16" and the threads will tend to strip. Compression rivets are a decent option.

:agree:
But I would spot weld with a tig on the back side of the rivet to prevent minor movement in the future from prolonged periods of use.

Tap the rail not the receiver.

Cool ideas, thank you.

So, the best approach would be to drill the receiver, then use rivets and tig weld them on the inner side of the receiver?

Don't have to weld...Just need to drill and screw into the rail from the inside of a receiver.

we have developed a rail (for POSP side mount scopes) with "window" to see the serial number through....

the rail is here:http://interammo.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=27&products_id=67

I am just getting around to mounting this rail, but it disappeared from the interammo site??? I want to get the install instructions, but now I am wondering why it isn't there.... Getting concerned...

Simple, we removed them from the website because they are all sold. The shop we had the rails made for us is not interested in our new order at this moment. Quotes from other shops are through the roof...once we find reasonable manufacturer we will get these rails back in stock. PM me if you need installation instructions.
