Took my rifle to the range today and it worked great for the most part, but every now and then I would have what looked like a failure to feed and sometimes the trigger would just go dead on me. I thought that some mags I had just bought may be the issue. After running the charging handle the problem seemed to correct itself.
The last shot I fired the bolt locked up solid with a round just starting to feed into the chamber, also the trigger was dead.
I couldn't figure out what was wrong until I noticed the sear pin was out of it's hole on the left side of the gun and the trigger pin was almost out. That explained the problem! So it looks like I have pins walking out on me...
Any easy solutions? I was thinking about giving both pins a sharp blow with a hammer to widen the end of them? Any other solutions?
Oh yeah, the left side charging handle on my very expensive VZ Lightening bolt also broke off during firing!
It tried to take my left thumb with it. Looks like it was welded on!? I'm going to contact them and see what they can do.
