Hello, all. I received my VZ 58 today from Frontier Firearms. To my joy, it is such a well-made rifle all around as far as quality and finishing goes.
VZ 58 FEVER, BABY!!!!!!!!:dancingbanana::dancingbanana::dancingbanana::dancingbanana::dancingbanana::dancingbanana:
I ordered a Tuff Zone Quad Rail to replace the hand guards. Although it was advertised as easy-to-install, I am having a hard time mounting the bottom piece of the two-piece assembly because I cannot figure out how to mount it onto the barrel the clamps it comes with mainly due fitting and obstruction/ clearance issues.
So far, no videos on this on Youtube, or at the Tuff Zone website.
I have e-mailed Tuff Zone for assistance, but I am hoping to my answer from another source in case they are not able to answer right away.
Has anyone here installed this quad rail? HELP...
Thanks,

I've never even heard of that rail but congrats on the rifle. I thought I was excited when I got mine, as time goes on I like it even more. It's such a great functioning gun and hasn't had a single failure of any kind yet. And it's so bad ass! It made me appreciate my sks so much more too because they feel different to shoulder but they feel good. They compliment each other very nice. Only thing I've added to my Vz was a rubber butt pad for grip and comfort, I bolted a rail to the lower hand gaurd and put a AFG on it. Getting a BC tactical scout mount soon. The short one that doesn't hang over the upper hand gaurd. Can't wait!
