VZ 61 Lower Picatinny Rail Question

Im curious if anyone has mounted a pic rail on the front of the 61 in the area between the magazine and the round barrel nut looking spot? If so how did you do it? Did it interfere with the folding stock?

Ive seen pictures of this done straight from the factory however these 61's never made it to Canada I don't think. The only thing off the internet I could find was a plastic airsoft clamp that goes around the round barrel nut spot. It didn't look to promising.

Im thinking I want to mount a foward grip in that spot when I pick one of these up.

I seen this but the one I saw was plastic and for airsoft guns. I wasn't even sure if it was made anymore.

I thought maybe something like this will work. Appropriately sized and upside down. I sure wish i could get the dimensions of the round part.

I don't have my calipers here but looks to be about 27mm I think the issue is that you only have about 5mm between the stock (folded) and the barrel/receiver part.

I was also thinking of buying a length of rail. Cut it to the right length. Attach it at the back near the magwell and then fab a spacer to fit between the rail and the round part at the front.

But that is beyond my skill and tool set at the moment. Have to get a gunsmith to do that one or my budy who is a millwright.

I tried but it wouldn't work bcos that part is slightly tapered so I gave up.
