So I've developed a hankering for something a bit different for a range toy, a VZ 61 in .32 ACP in particular, however I'm finding it difficult to find any for sale online, does anyone know of any Canadian online retailers that have any for sale currently? Or perhaps soneone is interested in selling theirs?

I don't care if it is Zastava or CSA manufacture, either seem pretty good from what I've managed to read. For those of you that own one(or more than one), how do you like it and what are your impressions of it?

Thanks!

I own the Zastava M84. I traded for it. I don't know anyone selling them or the VZ's new. The last ones I have seen for sale were by SFRC, and they were the ones in .380. That was a year or two ago. I think they are probably sold out Canada wide. You are most likely going to have to source one on the EE.

I have to say after owning this rifle/ pistol for a couple of years, it is by far the stupidest gun ever made.

The ergonomics suck. I can just barely use the folding stock. The .32 round is pretty wimpy. Dunno why anyone thought it would be a good round to use for defence. But that doesn't really matter for punching paper here. Can't mount red dots, lights or anything else to it. The accuracy isn't the greatest. Ammo is difficult to source here in Canada sometimes. The top ejecting shell cases aim for my head sometimes. The original small charging handle nubs would tear the skin off my fingers after a range session.

Now despite after saying all that, I have to say the Zastava M84 is by far my most fun gun to shoot for me. It is the gun that gets the most use by me. Its dumb I know, but I love it. I got the large aftermarket charging handles for it and its been smooth sailing after that. I also removed the rate reducer to free up some weight.

So to sum up, a very stupid gun it is, but its fun to shoot. I wouldn't ever voluntarily part with it.

I have a .32 zastava m84. It’s such a fun little fun to shoot. I would recommend one. Keep an eye out on the ee here. They pop up fairly often.

You've just missed a CSA Scorpion on EE for 725 shipped.

Thanks for this, it kind of reinforces what I already had thought about it from what I could find online while researching. I just want one because it is so......different. It just seems like it'd be a fun gun to pack to the range.

Keeping in mind the original design was a full auto you could sorta wear on a belt, I would say it would be pretty stout in that configuration for personal defence.

Thanks for the info and insight to those who replied. I have managed to find an unfired Zastava M84 from a kind CGN member, I can't wait to get the gun and get some range time in. I went ahead and bought a 32 ACP die set, 400 brass, and 1000 71gr FMJ bullets today from Henry at Budget Shooter Supply so I can have a bunch of ammo loaded up and waiting when it gets here : )

Nice! I have the CSA version and love it. It's fussy with ammo but 100% reliable with the S&B stuff which seems hotter. Super fun to shoot.

The .32ACP round is pretty small but I wouldn't want to stand down range of one.
