VZ-858 accuracy

Hey, just returned from the range where I tested a very nice and accurate Longbranch, my first BTW.
I had bought my VZ-858 too and a few boxes of that nice and corrosive Czech service issue ammo.
Well, despite a very blinding late afternoon sun at about 2 o'clock, I was rewarded with a 10 round grouping of about 3 1/2" at 100 meters, using a 6 o'clock hold on a Palma 6" bullseye.
I already had that kind of results with the same rifle/ammo, even better.
My question: do all the VZ-858 rifles regularly exhibit that kind of casual accuracy?
I would sure like to try it with Norinco's silver box ammo, which already gave me very small groups and standard deviation on the chronograph with my VZ-52/57 before. Is there a place where it can still be found?
PP.

I had similar results with scopes in the 6-8x power range with quite a few VZ's 58 and 858 (long and short barrel).
I also like the original sites, but the groups are a little bit bigger. I'm old, eh?:p

VZ 52???
I thought that was a different cartridge (7.62x45)
Or maybe you are refering to the Yugo SKS?

i have gone out to 75 yards with my open iron sights and group good within 4-6 inch i say.......and i am not a good shooter...i love my cz858....teh old guys watched my girlfriend shoot at 25 yards, she has bad eyes, she made a 1 inch group with 5 shots they were so impressed with its accuraccy when i let the old dogs shoot. My friend I trust his opinions is very impressed with it.

My CZ was also surprisingly accurate. 3.5"-4.5" groups at 100 yards consistently, sometimes 2.5" I think. Let's see how well that holds up in my non-chrome, rustacular barrel.
