Get the Dlask extended mag release. The only flaw I see in the VZ-58's design is the mag realase made for itty bitty fingers.

Had to get the real wood furniture too....it just's looks better.
 
I commend your ingenuity. The restriction on Ak's might have done some good. Now that we have the CZ we are so focused on it and just asking, what else can we do? The continuous stream of mods from all the gn'ers are great. So tell me what does the area where the old handle was look like?

.. It looks like the area on the left where there is no handle on other carriers. I Cut it, ground & polished it flush then recoated the finish.
 
Mine's not as pretty but it works just as well. It probably has five or six hundred rounds on it now.

I just drilled and tapped the carrier and the new handle. Screwed in the stud then the handle over the stud. Loc-tite and quick dimpleing with a center punch and it stays on tight.
