VZ Fail to Fire?

Anyone have an issue with their VZ not igniting surplus ammo? Every time I hit the range, I have probably a dozen rounds not ignite. Not sure if it's a light strike, or if it's the ammo. The ammo is 7.62x39 Tulammo surplus from TradeEx. I've ran a few of the rounds through again to see if they'll fire, no luck.

I know my buddy had to replace the hammer spring in his AR to ignite surplus effectively... same thing on VZ's? I did a search but couldn't come up with definitive answers.

And I've put well over 2,000 rounds through it, and it's been an issue almost from day one.

Try different ammo.
If the problem persist change striker spring.

Yep mine was doing this, tip of the firing pin had broken off...

I have had issues with TulAmmo in all of my Vz58s over the years. It's strictly SKS food now.

thanks guys, I think i have some other ammo kicking around, i'll try that next time I hit the range and see how she works
