Seeing as rails don't feel great on the hands. What do you run a vertical grip ? Stubby grip? Angled grip? Do you have covers on the side rails or have you mounted lights ?

Any feed back would be great, thinking the vertical grip might mess up my mag changes. Also this is a chance for me to show off muhaha

I run a NEA rail with the stubby Magpul grip ground at an angle so that mags can be easily inserted and removed.

I like mine light and simple.

I'll be adding a sling loop to it too but that'll be it.

I have an AFG1 on the bottom of mine. I tried a gen 2 T-Pod but it did get in the way of mag changes, so I stuck that on my SKS instead. On the left side I have a laser/light combo, on the right is just a Fab Defense rail cover, and the top a Vortex SPARC.

I ended up getting an AFG from magpul, picked up a side light mount and light also. As for some rail covers I got the cheapo magpuls, Read some reviews and regretted spending that 10 bucks lol. So went and got some Ergo18-Slot Ladder LowPro Rail Covers.

Wanted rail covers because this rifle already spends a lot of time in my hands. Id like it to spend more without fighting the rails in my hands for comfort.

What sling loop are you planning on using?

Gota get a micrometer and find out how thick my stock is (if its mil or commercial) to get a sling loop. Id rather not have to buy 2 because first one didn't fit.

Afg if you like changing mags fast, like mentioned. it can get in the way with a vert grip if your really getting frantic during speedy mag changes (though I never really had that problem. I've ran both the vertical grip lets you really get a hold of the front end in a more natural ergonomic position that lets you own the recoil. Afg is still good, it doesn't get in the way of anything really and just helps you point the rifle more naturally than without anything. Fortunately that's what the ee is for, get a cheapo magpul pts afg and a cheap vertical grip and try both, see what feels better to you and serves your purpose. Then just sell the other. Side note- the g2 bipod foregrip from fab defense is awesome, best vert grip I've tried.
