Reassembled my Vz 58 after cleaning. When I try to rack the bolt it will only go about halfway before it sticks. I have no idea what's jamming it up, the only possibility I can see are the springs somehow twisting up to block the normal bolt path. Help?

did you pull the trigger to release the striker ? after insertion of the bolts ? the striker need to be in fired position to be able to insert the dust cover

Ill double check that the dust cover is on straight but I did pull the trigger before I put the dust cover on. I've reassembled it a few times before without an issue.

Did you put the dustcover on straight?

I did this once, Just a slight intolerance and it jams the gun up good. You may even notice a gap between the receiver and dust cover, thats a dead give away.

Not oiling the outside of the dust cover make it allot easier to line up.

I've put the dust cover back on, no gaps and the bolt still wont rack all the way back and the trigger is dead until I pull the pin and raise the dust cover a little. Looks like the striker spring guide is a bit bent. Anyone know where I can get a new striker spring guide? I can only find the return spring guides for sale.

Dlask and ebay canada. Can you get pics of the internals up? Is the gun new or still have warrenty left? It should come with warranty for 5 years. You will void your warranty by fixing it yourself so be aware, you may run into a bigger problem that are common with a new unbroken in VZ and regret it if the warranty is voided. Mine got all new internals on warrant last year, It was like 300$ in parts needed to fix it.
