VZ muzzle brake install

What are you guys using to get lockup at the proper indexing? Crush washers, locktite, filing it down until it indexes properly?

I got a dlask mzzle brake and filled it down cuz everytime I used teflon tape it would melt away in 20 rounds and lock tight would shake loose after a range vist.

I just mounted it the same way I used to for my AKs, turn it on as far as it goes, then back it off far enough for propper alignment.
No problems.

I have the Dlask one too and of course it locks up like 1/32 past where it's supposed to index... I don't really want to have to file that much off but I will if I have to.

It is kinda loose and rattles a bit so I want to get it locked down.

Tighten as much as it goes, then back off till the retaining pin clicks into the slot. Never had a problem doing it this way...

Does yours seem to be tight? As soon as I back mine off that little bit it makes it a bit wobbly.

Only when mine heats up say after 100 rounds does it loosen up but just a tade. If you notice the retaining pin recess on the muzzle brake there is ample amount of space left over. Also you will notice the minor amount that you can remove with a bastard file will still not effect the retaining pin. Just take your time and check all the time.

It has a bit of a wobble to it. Does not affect the function whatsoever of the brake.

My Rauch muzzle brake fit snug. I didn't need any washers or anything.
