VZ24 Point of Impact?

Out shooting today with VZ24, groups quite nice but at 100 yds its shooting 10-12 in high with both my loads. Lowest setting on sights is 300 meters is this about where it should be shooting for 2300-2400 fps 198-&200 gr reloads? My figuring is it should be shooting 6-7 in high at 100 for a 300M zero.

I was hitting 8-10" hight with s&b 198gr @ 2550fps with mine at 100m. It's likly slightly different for each rifle so just find what works.

I`m going to try and find a taller front sight. No idea where to look.

common for older mausers to be battle zeroed for 300
