VZ54 optics

Folks,looking for optics for the Vz54 sniper rifle.I thought I had a set,but as it turns out it was for the Vz24...Any ideas?BTW,anyone have a vintage PE or PEM,..?...Cheers..R..

Lots of PUs, only seen one PEM and that was mounted. Have you tried the EE? You might want to try Gunboards as well for a VZ.54 scope to see if anyone has the original or a repro.

What kind of optics was it for the Vz.24? Thanks

The VZ54 has a unique mount and scope tailored to the rifle....The Vz24 is a mauser and the set up is quite different....

I know that. I'm interested as you said you had optics for a Vz 24. What make/model of optics are you referring to?

Well,I can tell you it is a Meopta scope and mount assembly for the Vz24,I'm not familiar with them..The seller is trying to find a '54 set for me in CZ.Likely the only place I might find one...

Thanks. Meopta a means post war scope. Went under a different name in WW2. They were known for having quality optics though both prewar and post war. They did/do make a repro ZF 4 for the German G43. Probably made the scope for the Vz.54 too. Good luck.
