VZ58/2008/ Folding stock problem

Received my VZ2008 today with the folding stock. Unfortunately for me the small cap that retains the spring and folding hinge pin was not secured on the pin. The threads appear OK but the cap will not screw tightly to the hinge pin. It appears that the cap threads are slightly oversized. I made a temporary fix by wrapping the threads on the pin with a lot of Teflon tape. Does anyone know a better way to fix this? The cap is probably only a $.50 part, but getting one is the question.

You are in the USA? Go back to the retailer and ask for a new folding stock, the appropriate part or buy one on Czech Point. Entire folding stock goes for about $50 or so here on the used market. I ditched mine and installed original wood furniture. Never liked shooting with the folding stock.

Ironwood Designs makes wood furniture for the VZ58, in the USA. Beautiful stuff too.

Where did you buy your rifle from? Is there a difference between the VZ58 and the VZ2008?
