So I'm looking for any input or advice on my problem. I've got a CSA VZ58 in 5.56, a couple weeks back the firing pin snapped inside the bolt. I took it, along with a 7.62 firing pin to my buddies dad who's a gunsmith. He managed to trim down the larger pin to fit.
Took it out today to test fire and the tip of that pin snapped off after about 70 rounds.

So am I just having bad luck with firing pins, or is there another issue I should be looking into?
Thanks!

I had the same issue with mine , check to see if it is over gassed and the cases eject like crazey high on a good note I think wolverine supply might still have some 556 pins as they brought in a bunch for me and low and behold it never broke again lol .

If your VZ is over gassed more damage than just a broken pin could occur. There are several threads on it already. The rifle has a 5 year warranty and Movie Arms handles warranty work in Canada for them, you could contact them and find out if your serial number is from the affected batch and send the rifle to them for repair if need be.

Don't tell them your buddies dad ####ed with it, although CSA's warranty service is damn good they might forgive it. Contact Movie Arms. Don't do anything else to it. The gun is probably over gassed.
