ive got a CSA vz58 that came from the factory with the AR stock and adapter installed......im looking at getting a different AR stock that has a fancier and with cheek riser to help with the cheek weld as the angle of the stock is not right for me......my question is what will work......like can the buffer tube that came with it stay on just slide off the stock?
Is the buffer tube that came on it the same as any other AR tube? If i choose to go with a folder ar style what are your suggestions? i looked online at csa to see what type of stock and tube but no info on it particularly .....but i did see that csa offers these rifles in a bolt action now!!!! I'm out of reach from any stores so i can't go checking stuff out. thanks

likely slide the old one off the buffer tube and the new one on. Pull out on the adjuster 'button' and slide 'em off. I have read and I'm sure someone will correct me there is 2 sizes of buffer tubes? I've mixed and matched on all my stuff without issue though. If you want a folder , just get a vz58 one? I personally found the ol beaver barf stock is my favorite.

Yes milspec buffer tubes are two hundredths of an inch smaller in diameter than commercial buffer tubes. Make sure you measure with a micrometer to pick the proper one.

CSA rifles should come with a commercial spec tube. The easiest way to check is to slide off the stock and if the end of the buffer tube is at an angle, it's commercial spec. If it's squared then it's mil spec. Some commercial spec can be squared, but as far as I know all mil spec are squared.
