Does anyone have experience with the bipod that attaches to the bayonet mount? Specifically I am interested in if it is decently made and the effect it has on mpi while resting on it.

I am assuming that is at 100m. That is unfortunate, although I suppose since I am running two sights I could have the irons zeroed for without a bipod.
it does move it up but i dont recall being 6-8" , i thought more like 4" at 100.
you have to undertsand it wasnt designed for 18.5" barrel , it was for the shorter restricted barrel.
that being said, it is well designed and very light, not cumbersome use .

Thanks for the input guys. I can live with 4 moa... should be fine for gophers and coyotes at their typical ranges. 
And good point Curton on the original designed barrel length I don't know why I didn't think of that.
Satain I'm not really sure what you are trying to say with +/-3 moa. Are you trying to say that the group expanded by 6 moa, the rounds were stringing vertically over 6 moa or the groups were landing either 3 moa above the point of aim at one point and 3 moa below the point of aim at another point.
Instead of starting a new topic I may as well ask it here. Any one try the fab defense stock with the adjustable cheek piece. I think it would work well for me being able to switch between irons and optics and still have a decent cheek weld, but I have always been very hesitant to buy things like that with out seeing it in person first.

On some military rifles, the bipod is located more to the rear to facilitate traverse shooting with less movement. And it needs shorter legs to get the same elevation.
Why can't someone design a forward-folding bipod with a rear mounting point on the VZ just in front or near the rear sight base?

In my opinion most military firearms that are designed to be used from a bipod are either machine guns or sniper rifles. Machine gun bipods tend to be attached around the gas regulator and not the barrel to facilitate barrel changes. Sniper rifle bipods tend to be attached to the stock to avoid placing any additional forces onto the barrel while firing.
Nope I was just saying that with the bipod on it added 3 MOA when shooting it without the bipod it was back to the original point of impact. the plus and minus was there because some times my groups were a little bigger than 3 MOA and some times the groups were a little less than 3 MOA in that rifle.
As for the FAB defense stock it's all about personal preference. I noticed that once I put an optic on a rifle I rarely if ever go back to iron sights. Also the adjustable check piece isn't that secure.
