when screwing in the buffer tube into the rifle the tube ends up off center and the buttstock (magpul moe) ends up canted, is this normal for these adapters? the only way to get it straight is to loosen the tube and tighten the castle nut and i dont think thats ideal

Yep that’s what I have done. Just wondering if it’s normal that’s all. If it gets bumped around a little it could end up coming loose

From what I remember that’s how my ar15 stock adaptor on a 12g installs, if you snug up the castle nut tight it shouldn’t come loose. I’ve never had to retighten the one on mine and it’s been on it for a couple years.

Same here, I tightened it the way Butcherbill suggested. Stock on my rifle does come loose once in a while, a friend used treadlock on his rifle, so far it's been holding fine. I need to do the same on mine.

A little bit of BLUE loctite on the buffer tube threads as well as the castle nut threads will solve your perceived problem. It shouldn't need loctite if you tighten it enough but it will at least give you peace of mind that things won't come loose if you do bump it around.
