Just recieved a VZ58, the bolt has been removed for shipping and the dust cover put back into place. I can't get the rear dust cover off to put the bolt back in. It ramps up tension and will not come free. Any help would be appreciated I'm really frustrated with this.

How is this possible? The bolt guides the springs, no? This would be a rats nest inside without it? Are you removing the set-pin properly?

How about some pictures to help us out?

Even if the bolt is removed if the striker is still installed it needs to be decocked.
Dry fire, or alternately pull the action back, hold the trigger, and release the action. Voila; decocked.

If you tried to fire it and the tension still dosn't let it come out freely then grab a puddy knife and place it under the rear pin and try to pop it up into place. Also exam the front of the cover to make sure it's algined & seated properly.

I think decocking is the issue. I can't seem to get it to dry fire. No click when the action is cycled.

Before you pull the pistol grip off, try one thing.

If Curtton is correct about the cause, sometimes you can reengage the trigger by pushing the sear pin back into alignment from the right hand side of the gun. No grip removal required.
