So i posted this question in the wrong form. So here it is again.

I would like to get some clairification on chrome barrels.

I have an eye on a vz58 but not chrome lined. Is this a huge issue for someone who may shoot 2000 a year, it's for fun not competition.

If I clean guns weekly and regularly, and shoot monthly, would me spending extra on chrome lined barrel make a difference. NR versions with chrome barrels are harder to come by.

So what you guys think, to chrome or not to chrome?

If you clean it regularly there is no need to chrome, but hell if you want it chromed then go ahead! I had my doubts at first too but I have owned my non-chromed VZ for over about 1 and a half years and have shot a few thousand rounds from it. Runs great and the barrel is great too. Just clean it after shooting corrosive.

My firing pin broke before i had problems with my barrel. Now i have the CSA VZ58 mod: PW (paperweight). By the time i get a new pin that chrome barrel should stave off way more rust than the non chrome version.

Please remove

Good to know, I'm reading a lot about it. Good to hear someone else has a non chromed, and enjoys it
