vz58 folding stock?

How can the folding stock on a vz58 not make it restricted? It doesnt cover the trigger when folded. It looks like the gun can be fired with it folded. Was just wondering because I was thinking of putting one on a different rifle. Thoughts?

cant remember but mine folded was around 28-29 inch long , and yes it can be fired with the stock folded ,
