VZ58 front sight removal.

I've got a nice set up planned. i wanna put BUIS on the rails, and cut off the front sight, leaving only the bayonet mount/muzzle device decent.
Is it possible to cut off in my garage using common tools or does a gunsmith need to do it?

Zip cut or hack saw I think would work, file down the corners when done.
