VZ58 furniture OOPS!

Bought another VZ58 wood furniture set and was about to refinish everything... had a little problem with the Upper Handguard. It didn't want to slide off the gas tube. Did this a bunch of times already but haven't broken one until now. I stripped and stained the other pieces, which are now awaiting the finishing process. Anyone have an extra wooden upper handguard they want to sell or know where I can find one (I posted an EE ad as well). Was going to order from VZ58rifle until I saw their 25 pound shipping price

Bought a longer/thicker pistol grip and I got it really close to the same colour as the other parts (it was much lighter wood). I think it'll match up pretty good once I finish. Looks like I need an Upper Handguard to complete the set (it's split in half, if you can't tell)

Try gluing it together with crazyglue gell. Then get a strip of light cotton cloth, tack it down withe c.g. Then saturate the hole thing with a good 5-min. apoxy. Keep it smoth so the gas tube still slides on. cheers

I considered gluing it together but there is a tiny piece of wood missing due to the split, don't think it'll work and look perfect... I just bought 2 UHG's, just in case I break another . This stuff is getting harder to find.
