Vz58 in 223 Ar mag issues

I recently purchased a csa vz58 in 223 that already had the Ar magwell adaptor installed which was great because I have some lar mags kicking around. I tried loading some snap caps in the one lar mag (orange follower) and it seems to cause the cartridges to jam up against the feed ramp, when I rock the bottom of the mag away from the gun it seems to feed better, I also have the green follower mags which seem to feed alot better but sometimes get hung up on the other cartridges in the mag. I'm not sure if anyone knows a solution as any help is greatly appreciated. If i can't figure the issue out I may have to just revert back to the standard mags in which I think I would need a new mag release (any help on going about that would be great too!)

Test out with live rounds at the range first. I have found in my experience that snap caps very seldom feed right or extract right in a semi auto actions. Just my two cents.

Are you easing the bolt forward or letting it go on its own?

I initially had rounds hitting below the feed ramp, had to grind and polish to get it running.

letting it go it would just jam it right into the feed ramp and lock, and thats what i figured but when i use the other lar mag that i had kicking around it feeds fine which is weird because the orange ones seem to be dimension-ally the same

As said, try live rounds.

My vz58 is using stanag mags and I never have any feed isues. It doesn’t like snap caps though

Don't use plastic mags in the vz magwell adapter,,

I did that and it cost me a replacement magwell
