VZ58 lower hand guard question.

I have the factory plastic lower and top hand guards that im kinda partial to. Is it possible to mount a 2 inch pic rail on the bottom at the front and not have any issues?

I know there a bunch of aftermarket lower hand guard sets that would suit my needs. However I dont really like the looks of them and I want to stay with plastic if I have a choice.

That plate is a little overkill..... just sayin, a simple nut and small washer would do. Or better yet, I usually purchase the Magpul rail kits, cus they often utilize special very low profile nuts to secure the bolts.

Plate is 0,8mm thick and I dont lose the nuts

Did the same with my 2 piece uzi handguard.

It is CSA. And no its not for heat. Just thinking of a short rail might be nice incase one day I might want to throw on a light or a forgrip.

I don't think the plate is overkill at all. Smart way to do it and probably how I would do it myself. Especially in the beaver barf.

If I were you and I was thinking about getting a flash light, I'd look at a top rail that can also have a red dot and use one of those offset light mounts they use on AK's down south. I've learned a lot through customizing my Vz and if I was going to do it over I'd do some things differently. Not trying to take over the thread, but if you want I can fill you in.
