Hi guys! First this forum is awesome! I can't get away from it, there's just too much info!

Sorry for my question if it's been done before but I'm kind of new. I just got a VZ58 from MilArm and it came with a 10/5 and a 30/5 mag. The 10/5 fits easily but the 30/5 will not go in... I don't know why, I thought maybe it was an AK47 mag because they appear to have completely different locking mechanisms. Here's a picture I quickly snapped. If you guys have any thoughts I'd be most grateful! Sorry about the large size!

from milarm, no surprise there. Maybe it is an SKS-D mag.

Do yourself a favour and deal with Wolverine Supplies. They support CGN and in my experience are a very thoughtful outfit where as Milarm is not.

Thanks guys! Do you guys know if the folding stock usually comes with the shorter bolt? Or do I have to go to Home Depot to find one? Thanks!

Welcome to CGN. I would just take the mag back to Milarm. They will exchange it no problem.
Just my 2 cents, but in 5 years I have had nothing but great service from Milarm
They even refunded me for a special order that turned out to be not exactly what I wanted.

As with any store, it depends on who you talk to.

I've always had a great eperience with Milarm as well!
I got my VZ58 from them for 375$ and got all my mags for 25$.
It pays to watch thier Specials page often.

I was drawn in by the cheap price too, $410 for the rifle and a 30/5 mag and a 10/5 mag. Then they charged me an extra $15 for the 30/5 mag, they quoted me $15 shipping and charged my $40, and quoted me $70 for a folding stock and billed me at $100. I mean $70 isn't a lot, but for what I paid for it once it landed at my house, for $50 more I could have gone to Wolverine or Marstar and got the sling/cleaning kit/mag pouch/3 extra mags!

Not to mention I had to call them twice to get the transfer started, then call them again once it was done to get them to bill my credit card and ship it...

In all fairness though every time I called in I spoke with a different person, I guess it can be chalked up to a miscommunication.

I called them and they'll replace the mag and send me a new bolt. Thanks all you for the comments!

Yup your correct ak mag

And to add my two cents milarm sucks AS# I wont give them a penny of my money I will pay a extra 100 bucks just not to deal with there crap

As a customer I dont like some jerk behind a counter swearing at me when I asked one question. Was asking if one optic was green and red cross hair and the #### replied what do you want it to do butter your fu^^ing toast.

Milarm Is Boycott

My favorite Milarm experience was when a buddy ordered a No.4 Enfield (a '41 LB) from them. They told him over the phone it was "unissued in excellent shape, not FTR".

What arrived was a post-WW2 refurb with beach furniture, Suncorited and electro-pencilled matching and after FTR it looked like it had been drug behind a halftrack for a few thousand miles.

A call in to Milarm produced the much laughed about (after the anger subsided) response:

"It IS in excellent shape, for a 50 year old rifle that went through a war".

Correct me if I'm wrong, but "excellent condition" should not depend on whenthe the rifle is a milsurp or a brand new Remington 700. It means "nearly like new". not "beat to sh!t, but still fireable".

Yes, I know a '41LB is rare, but my friend paid a very premium price for it only b/c it was a '41. In the end, I think Milarm refunded him $100 off the $650 price. He's still pissed about the whole thing today...

Oh, and I forgot to mention - the famed "Pictures will cost you $25, non refundable" game that they play.

Don;t believe me? Pick a gun over $500 on their website and ask for pictures. Freakin' hilarious. It's like they don't WANT to sell anything!

I can understand if they don't want to take photos of $150 sportered Enfields, but a used gun priced over $500, they should be willing to send at least a snapshot for free... certainly would save them time and trouble from returns...

Good info guys. I should clarifiy that all my Milarm purchases have been in store.
I have not heard many good things from the ordering/shipping part of Milarm.

Don't deal with Milarm. If I need it ASAP, and no one else locally has what I need, then I think REAL FREAKING HARD about it. But by then, P&D usually has it in stock :p
