Anyone take theirs apart to clean? I took one of mine apart and holy #### the spring was rusty any had pitting, I cleaned it up best I could and reassembled but:

does anyone know if AK Springs are compatible for replacement?

does anyone have an AK spring and VZ58 spring to do a comparison, Ive got 40 5/30 VZ58 mags and if they are all like that Im gonna be replacing them all with AK wolff gunsprings or see if there is a source for new VZ58 Springs
 
Wierd cause my 20 are covered in some sort of wierd grease that stuck to everything but still looked brand new after I cleaned them and functioned fine after I put it all back together with a new rivet of course. I wounder if yours wasn't greased packed when it was in storage and after some time I can see this happening. Call Wolverine and ask for Wolfgang to get a spare spring for it.

mine had no grease on it, Im going to start taking the others apart or just pull the base plates if they are corroded or rusty ill see it, if its just a few it aint a big deal, but if all are like that Ill be needing new springs
