Hey guys, just sitting on the ferry heading home after a great day at the range. The one hiccup to the afternoon was my csa vz-58 in 223 firing more than one round. Does anyone have any experience with this? Is there something in particular I should be looking for when I strip it down.

Thanks guys

Was it consistently doing it every time. Would it empty the entire mag, or just one extra, or again was it inconsistent. If it didn't stop on an empty mag then how did it stop. Cycled fully or jammed up. Did you keep the brass from the 2nd (and on?). If you did, look for weird pressure signs on the brass to see if it fully chambered.

How long has it been since it was last cleaned. What type of ammo...any else that may be relevant.

First guess would certainly be firing pin related...just not sure what.

Seeing as the rifle is now up for sale I should mention that a thorough cleaning of the bolt and firing pin combined with running wet with G96 has kept this rifle running just as intended.

I added a shim between the trigger and the receiver wall .. looking down into the receiver ... barrel to the front .. shim goes on the left side of trigger

This corrects alignment to allow full contact of the trigger face .. did this several years ago to a unit that was allowing more than one round to fire .. unit has had many years and rounds through it after the fix..

It was my take that the space was resulting from the conversion to semi auto from full auto ( relocation/removal of parts ) .. used a rivit washer from a standard rivit kit ( might have been small computer washer ) .. no fuss no muss ..

Have fun ....
