VZ58 - OK i need HELP

SO I got the SA58 kit from fab defense and its been a pain in the ass (ass opposed to what the package says)

now i have a vz58 that was bought locally so no mods were done (bought new)

every thing i read online says just punch a pin to get the lower hand guard off.

mine is riveted or seems to be. i tried hard for a couple min to punch it out but no avail.

whats the deal? am i stupid can someone help please?

OK so got my answer anyway.

It looks riveted and but is NOT. its just too thick of a pin for the slot. Use a 1/4inch punch and throw it away after, because you wont be able to reuse it

I have murdered a a few pins myself. You just have to take your time and lightly tap them out. I avoid the punches. I some times use one of the threaded ends of the cleaning rod to get it started. Then I will make a drift out of a nail/allen key or what ever you that is similar dia. and punch it out. Once you do it a couple times it gets easier.
