What railed fore arm for the Vz58 has the lightest weight, is the most rigid, and has the slimmest profile? Currently using a NEA railed upper hand guard with a polymer fore arm.

Note: not interested in the NEA lower (rails have to be added for extra $) and the BC Tac is too chunky.

Opinions?

I dont think there is much out there any smaller then the bc tac. I have the fab defence one but is big to.

Zahal has a couple of options. Bonesteel in the states has a nice set up that seems to be a cross of the NEA and the BC Tactical ones. Problem is they don't seem to ship up here.

They don't unfortunately. I've been looking for sometime for replacement upper and lower handguards and the Bonesteel ones are the only that don't look hideous. Thought Bonesteel was my answer but no go on shipping to Canuckistan.

Fab Defence VFR-VZ is what I have chose. Don't need the upper part so the search to find a good price.

Edit: Zahal $300 CAD. Damn dollar. Oh well, pay to play.

Vz vfr. The top and bottom bolt togeather. The bottom will fall off with out the top. The made the bottom so it fits over the handguard retainer not in it. Nothing to hold it. One good bang and the bottom will fall off.

That's what I wanted to know. Thanks for the insight.

I guess I'll have to buy the BoneSteel model when I go down to Arizona in October.

Try to go for something light weight.
I have the Brügger & Thomet rail as well. Way too heavy. I'm sure it added a pound to the front of the rifle.
Looks cool though.
