Thing I don't understand is how Chrome lined barrel can get neglected? These things suppose to be neglected. That's why they are there for, is to be neglected and still be shooting. So was it non chromed barrel?

Same. Should have a barrel life of like ~20 000 rounds. And if I were you OP, I'd contact CSA or North Sylva and see if they can import a Lothar Walther barrel that comes on the CSA rifles and check if maybe Calgary Shooting Center can install it. That's a BIG maybe though. You could check with Westrifle if they'd plug the barrel in for you, probably cost a bunch though.

That's not the way it works. You still have to clean it. The chrome lining reduces friction that also reduces heat for the use of sustained fire. Thats why MG42 barrels only lasted only 4000 rounds. Heat erosion from a high rate of fire.

In the case of com-bloc rifles it helps reduce excessive wear from soft steal jacketed ammo... that and copper washed "lubricant".

Waiting for a response before I blast his rating. So far nothing. At most all I want is for him to pay for half of the barrel since I payed a premium for a supposed functioning rifle.

So the seller shot it alot and neglected and sold it without disclosing these issues? Sorry to hear that BM! I will check your Feedback as I imagine you left negative feedback for character. But I can't seem to find any on your FS...?
