i recently purchased a csa side accesorry rail for my vz58. I am a bit iffy about drilling and tapping the receiver to accept the supplied hardware and i dont want to learn a 650 dollar lesson if i get it wrong, so i was wondering if there is a local gunsmith that can do the work for me
Im located in Mississauga, Ontario

have you checked the side of your reciever to see if its pre=drilled. Mine was, there were simply a few small allen bolts in the screw holes. Once I took them out the side mount plate lined up perfectly. The side plate I bought was the actual CSA version so its meant for this gun. Heres a pic:

yeah, mine is the first gen csa 2003 first imported to canada, so no pre drilled holes. i allready checked. my side rail and L clamp is exactly as the one picured above. It looks like i might have to shave some of the edges from the rail itself because it does not fit snug with the receiver, and the last thing i want is to bind the receiver or the rail itself when tightening up the screws

did it myself... had to shave down a 16th off the plate itself because it was not fitting the receiver flush, and when tightened down, it would bind up the sliding action of the bolt...now that she sits flush, gun cycles properly. my thanks go out to my father in law. i knew i could use his drill press eventually lol
