Well, I figured out my problem with cheek slap on the VZ I think. "Czech man is stronk and holds rifle like real man". Basically put some more shoulder into it, dropped it down a bit on the shoulder, and sat my cheek bone right on the stock lightly, but not mashed down tight (which seems like a bad idea but turns out to be the best position for me), pulled it in really tight and that seems to work best. Also added a standard Czech military style brake. Still slaps a little here and there but not hard enough to hurt now.

Anyway, the Czech military style brake seems to have lowered the impact point considerably. And now I need to drop my front post. Is there a rule of thumb as to turns per inches of drop at 100 yards? Before I started doing trial and error I thought I'd ask. I basically had to notch up to the 300 yard notch for a 100 yard shot on the sight as a result of adding the brake.

I've yet to buy a sight tool, which I really need to pick up because my sks is really out of whack too. But they seem to be hard to find. Every time I'm at the gun shop no one has one. And the online places I buy big purchases from never have them, then it's impractical to order a 10 dollar part with 20 dollars shipping.
