VZ58 sporter 5.56...

Hey all, just picked up a VZ58 sporter in .223 today at p&d (pretty excited, didnt know these were available in 223). I got it home and while trying to disassemble, could not figure out how to remove the lower foregrip. My instruction manual says the pin that locks it in is riveted on both sides of the receiver, but I have seen many 7.62 models with aftermarket lower foregrips...can anyone fill me in on how to remove?

I have tried punching out the pin from both sides, and short of using excessive force (ie beating the crap out of the finish) I have not been able to budge it. Will it move to either side, or just in one direction?

all the ones i have drifted out can go either way, thats not to say that these new "sporter" models will have the same pin

You have to give us a range report on it when you get it to the range, I am really interested in picking one up. I just about stopped at P&D yesterday but ran out of time if I had know I would have stopped in for sure.

Can anyone chime in on how to get this thing off? I cant believe I haven't come across anything on the internet on how to remove....

does it look riveted in or does it look like a push pin?
my cz, vz and czh all have push pins that (like said before) can just be punched out.
