Is there a VZ58 stripper clip guide/magazine loader that will allow you to load magazines directly from stripper clips; not the Clip Guide that's part of the rifle. If so where can I get one?

This is the AK one. Does anybody know if it'll work with vz mags?

This is the FAL one.

I have the M14 one and it works pretty much in the same way that the AR15 one does.

The lower priced ones have run out of stock on Amazon. I hope you were able to place the order before they ran out.
John Masen has them for US$7.50, but they do not ship to Canada. Thus you'll need a US mail box service to get them.

The guide was integrated into the design so you don't need a loader to charge magazines. The charger guide was intended for SKS style loading in combat.

It would be usefull if we had standard capacity mags... Kinda useless for our neutered magazines IMHO
When using the rifle's clip guide, I try strip out only 5 of the 10 rnds in the clip. It more or less works. But I wouldn't say that the difficulties necessarily stem from having 10 rnds in the clip to begin with.

You are right. The stripper clips do go down into the magazine. The problem is that the clip goes too far down into the magazine; it ends up pushing the follower too close to the neutering rivet. You then have no space the drop the rounds away from the clip an into the magazine. Maybe I'm just a fumbling newbie, but I could not make the stripper clips work correctly or in a timely fashion by using them directly with the magazine. Even though I did manage to put in some rounds from the clip and into the magazine, it would invariably have been easier and faster to just manually load one round at a time without a clip. If there were no neutering rivet, I would imagine the clip-magazine affair would would work wonderfully without the intervention of a guide.

I think that the value of the guide will be that of becoming a spacer so that there is plenty of space between the follower and the rivet to accommodate the rounds coming in from the clip. It's less than CAD$12. Maybe I just need to perfect my technique, but loading rounds from a clip into an M14 mag is nowhere near as difficult to me as it seems to be with the VZ mags.

Personally I find VZ mags really easy to load. The only issue I've ever had was the front of the next bullet down catching on the front of the mag as I push the next one down.

it came in the mail today, freaky fast shipping. it does fit a vz mag and it does work better than simply placing the clips into the mag what with the fact the clip pushes into the mag making it difficult to load only 5 rounds. so all in all it makes it quicker to load if you have stripper clips already loaded, otherwise just hand bomb the mags.

Thanks for the update. I'll order one myself now.
