Hey guys,
I was looking for a trigger upgrade for the csa vz58 because the factory one has a huge useless travel before the disconnector get in contact with the sear pin. that is an issue for me as it reduce shooting speed and accuracy. I searched everywhere and it doesnt seems to exist a specific trigger upgrade for this gun. I found a guy on youtube selling is service for doing the trigger job for 205$ usd. No thanks for me.
So i disassambled the trigger assembly and after few hour of testing i found a reliable solution to produce an awesome result.
Before the mod the trigger had;
-a useless travel of .250" and a total travel (until fire) of .420"
After the mod the trigger has now;
-a useless travel of only .095" and a total travel (until fire) of .200"
Cant wait for the results at the range.
First I took a small piece of a steel sling that comes with my russian bullet for my shim. It was about the size i needed to get rid of that useless traveling (.035")
Then i cut it to the wanted size and made it 90deg to fit the shape of the trigger.
Paint it, glue it on the trigger with epoxy. thats it
Then in order to reduce really slightly the travel before the trigger release the striker you need to file and polish the sear. dont do it too much because that will make your gun unsafe!
final result
