VZs come with grease in bore?

Got mine. There's crud in the barrel. Is this cosmoline or did they just not clean it after the test firing in the factory?

Several of them have shown up with well used barrels. Mine was filthy and had been shot alot.

my had some cosmo bores were as new or close to it through finnsh wear on the outside

Mine was still in the grease,as were the 10 others that we bought.

Why not just wipe it out and see? Bore needs to be cleaned before firing the first time. Firing a rifle with grease in the barrel is not a good idea.

Mine came with comsoline in the barrel.

Yes, I know about cleaning all new rifles. I just wanted to know what other people's experiences were with what was in the bore. Mine had some soot from a fired cartridge rather than grease.
