W H Thompson

Does anyone know anything or have any information on a double barrelled W H Thompson shotgun? I think it was made in England.

W H Thompson was recorded as an action maker at 23 Price Street, Birmingham from 1951 and 1952. From 1953 to 1957 he was recorded as a gun engraver at the same address.

We would love to see some photos.

First you'd need to upload the picture(s) to an image hosting site such as photobucket.com - then copy and paste (here at CGN) a link to that image.

You'd need to register at photobucket first though.

Should you need further guidelines, I believe there are detailed "how to" info in the Photo Gallery section of CGN.

Here are Jim's photos. They do not show very much detail, but the piece looks decidedly Belgian to me. Note the concave ends on action pins & the "tear-drop" shaped fore-end estrunchion.
